Re: Charnel Touch.  The way it reads, you're probably out of luck using it on yourself.

1) It states you have to make a melee attack - which probably won't work against yourself.
2) It also says foe, which probably excludes yourself
3) It says living foe. Not sure when the DN becomes fully undead. It looks like the DN gets the full template at L20, but picks up Lich body DR perks along the way.

Do the Neg Energy Burst spell-like abilities give you anything? They might once you reach L20, when you get the Lich template. Pretty sure the template gives the undead type, so you should get the benefit then.

You are correct. 

One is a true class, where you have to allocate levels. The other is a template, which effectively gives you 10 more levels to place as you wish - usually on caster levels. The Lich class has a much stronger DR, but at the expense of 10 (caster) levels. The class gives a phylactery that you can upgrade and the ability to create Soul gems through the Craft Lich items feat.

The template also gives you extra's like a very high DC Weird, Harm and various Monster Summoning at will via the radials. As far as I know, the lich touch and disguise are the same. I don't think the template uses a phylactery (hence the absence of Craft Lich items feat) and the ability bonuses don't stack with items, so if you want them to stack you'll have to increase them manually. I think once your caster level gets high enough a new template will appear (the dreaded): Demilich.

If you really want (????) a phylactery, max out the class & phylactery upgrades - write down the stats, and you can toolset them later for the template version along with the Soul Gems. The Soul gems are great at wasting the uber-class (monk) as it bypasses their generally irreducible SR.

It is more handy to have the powers on the radial, [you equip something else in that slot], the Weird DC is pretty high to boot, and who doesn't love Harm & Monster Summon IX at will?

The Soul gems can be generated using the toolset with the instructions at the very bottom of this post:

Spawn as many as you need. Using them changes your alignment, so if you want to stay neutral to avoid smites, you'll need the NAM (NWN Alignment Manager).

Unless you are making a god-mode tank, the template is the better choice.

Alive   . . .  and hopefully doing well.

Thanks again for such a great and long-lasting creation. Hopefully, the PRC grew into something close to your original vision. The number of contributors and their dedication showed it was a shared endeavor.

The PRC is simply a masterful computerized adaptation of PnP. The sheer volume of content [classes, races, feats, spells, psionics, ToB, truename, item creation, + semi-infinite coolness and flavor . . .] created a texture and completeness the base NWN game could not offer.

As a character builder, I liked looking at other builds and learning all the cool quirks and perks of what I thought were obscure classes. Many 'out of the way' classes were the most fun to play. The race and class combo's enabled a very deep creative sandbox to play in.

Many thumbs up and drinks raised for bringing a complete vision to life. The PRC will be on my machine until the HD fails.

Most of the CC fraps are related to Java, although there are other Usual Suspects. There are a good deal of searchable CC fix threads still around.

If no one can find a fix, there are a couple of workarounds.

1) PM someone with a working CC with the stats, etc. you want & they PM back or post the .bic.

2) PRC Leto an existing .bic that started as a Psion at L1.
Download the PRC Leto.
Using Leto, de-level down to 1, then save.
Change the feats per marohair39's inputs here:, then save.

PRC Leto is very good to have regardless, but method 1 is recommended if no fix is found.

Think they went after look, feel & bugs. Not sure if the new commands are game changers or BFD. A coder will need to weigh in.

Don't see anyone converting PRC base & Prestige caster / psionic / invoke & Tome of Blood classes into a different spell & action system. If BeamDog is going to ask someone to do that, bless their hearts.

At the bottom of your link it says: "Join the Beamdog community and let us know what you want to see in Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition!" Are any BeamDogger Advisory types PRC members already?

How about the obvious balancing enhancements?

1) Get rid of monks.
2) Nerf the rogue sneak to where a non-crit-immune fighter stands a chance.
3) Disable UMD casting via scroll.

Was just going to suggest a couple of options:
1) Template DR
2) Lich class DR

Yes. It's asking for which character to add or subtract the points to. When you're done with the left click, the score will have changed by the amount you added. It should be permanent and give bonus spells. If you want to reduce points, do ModCHA -X, etc.

Console mods should work in single player. If you save from s-player, can you upload the .bic to server?

L10 lich DR is way better than the template. Template has unlimited Harm & uber-DC Weird +10 caster levels.  Melee Glitches (Gladiator Liches) take the class, caster's go template.

Pull down the Mind Flayer Necro build and see if you can run / modify it:,287.0.html

You may be able to use the PRC Leto to swap the stuff out.

The Lich class adds a "green" item-like temp boost that doesn't count toward bonus spells. IIRC, they zero out until the rest is over, then re-apply. Note that Lich + item bonuses are capped at 12. That means no CON items help at all & IWC only gets 2 points.

The most straight forward way is to make the ability mods permanent via console commands. That has the effect of having 10 item stat boost points in IWC & 12 in CON w/o any items. Like a L10 lich isn't going to have +12 in all stats. . .
