Spells, Feats, and Skills / Swordsage Leveling issue with feats
« on: April 05, 2018, 03:46:44 AM »
Hi guys,

Having some trouble with leveling a swordsage. The bonus feats while leveling are screwed up. I get bonus feats at wrong levels while not meeting the requirements. Thus, I cannot levelup. For example, I get the 2nd insightful strike bonus while leveling to 10. I can only choose between insightful strike, defensive stance, or focus. I cannot choose another focus and I am not yet level 12 for the second insightful strike. Thus, I am stuck choosing a defensive stance. However, I encounter another problem that I cannot choose a second insightful strike. I have to wait until level 16 or so.

Also, the class seems to have so many Bad StrRef errors and some skills that just do not work like tornado throw

Base Classes / Creating new base class
« on: December 13, 2015, 05:36:53 AM »
Hi all, I'm hoping to create a new base class. Truthfully I just want to tweak some of the existing ones to fit my playstyles. I know the manual has a short guide, but are there any other pieces of information out there on how to integrate my new base class into the prc?

Base Classes / Sorcerer's Spells known table
« on: October 31, 2015, 03:58:21 AM »
Hey all. Is it possible for me to edit the limit on the sorcerer's spells known table (ie 3 lvl 9 spells known at a time). If so, where can I find the file to edit? Thanks.

General Discussion / Warmage's Edge and multi-hit spells
« on: October 31, 2015, 12:56:35 AM »
I've got a quick question on Warmage's Edge. I think in PnP it works so you add the damager per cast, but I'm curious how it works in prc.

For example, would a Issac's Greater Missile Storm have Warmage's edge apply once to the whole thing or apply to each missile? Obviously a huge difference in damage!

Help / Losing all spells/manuevers
« on: October 13, 2015, 11:24:43 PM »
Hey all, I've had this problem before but now I think I now what the issue is. The modules I am playing occasionally have moments where my PC is stripped of all his items. At that moment, I also lose all my spells/manuevers. Thus, I think that the module is somehow removing something that PRC needs for say, a swordsage's manuevers. Can anyone help me with this?

Edit: Hope someone can help me with this. So after trawling the web I've realized that the prc feats that grant spells/manuevers are stored on a hidden item called the base_prc_skin. It looks like I am losing that because the script is using ActionTakeItem for all my items. Is there any way around this?

General Discussion / Crafting convo problem
« on: October 12, 2015, 06:38:45 PM »
Hi all, I'm having a weird issue with the PRC crafting convo and was hoping someone could help me.

I am using the arbitrary crafting mode and mistakenly clicked on "cast a spell" on a potion bottle. Upon doing so, the standard wait convo popped up and the countdown started. It never finished and I got a prc crafting error and now the convo won't go away. It disappears if I talk to someone but it immediately comes back up afterwards. Is there any way I can fix this?

Hi all, sorry for another question. I realize that the new spellbook is kinda wonky since it is a workaround. The new spellbook works fine, but one of the modules I am playing with PRC does not have many resting areas and instead uses beds and items to rest. The issue is that the new spellbook only refreshes on a standard rest (as in the ctrl + r). Is there any way to get around this issue?

General Discussion / Question on Psion multiclassing
« on: September 25, 2015, 01:55:50 AM »
Hey all, although I play NWN a lot, I've never actually played D&D 3.0 or 3.5. So, I have a question of how Psion multiclassing works. I want my Psion to be able to go into melee every now and then so I plan to take a few levels in fighter. However, I am not sure how that works with the Power Points in PRC. Say I have a 5 Fighter, 20 Psion. Would he have 343 PP as per a level 20 Psion or would he have 195 PP as per a level 15 Psion? I read somewhere that PP stops growing as soon as you hit level 20 so I was wondering if that is level 20 Psion or level 20 overall.

Hi all, I am just messing around with ACP + PRC + CEP for the Aielund saga. It's a very frustrating progress because of how outdated the ACP and PRC are but I am still trying to get it to function even a little.

I was wondering if anyone else has been able to merge these 3 together.

Here is where I got to so far.

I first discovered that the PRC has conflicting ideas about the ACP. Its phenotype.2da's have the ACP fighting styles as in ACP4.0 (15-21 and 30-33). However, according to my understanding, its scripts that add the ACP functionality into the modules (following the PRC's manual of adding variables and the hak through the toolset) refer to scripts, includes, and 2da's with even more outdated ACP values of 5-8 and lack the added fighting styles such as Arcane or Tiger Fang. I don't know enough yet to edit the spell or feat.2da's so I tried to just fix the Kensai~Fencing ACP scripts but now I don't know how to compile the edited .nss files.

If anyone could help me that would be great.

Help / Help for someone new to PRC
« on: September 10, 2015, 09:01:13 AM »
Hi all, hope someone is still checking these forums.

I just got into NWN a week ago and finally found PRC which has the Tome of Battle stuff I was looking for along with a huge variety of other cool stuff. However, I'm having trouble understanding how to use it.

As I understand, I have to inject PRC into a module through the updater but if it uses CEP, I need to do something more. The manual, unfortunately, doesn't explain it very well to me so I was hoping someone could help me with that.

Finally, I heard that PRC and ACP work well together but I am iffy on all three of PRC, ACP, and CEP. Could anyone shed light on this?

Thank you.
